Privacy Policy

Effective July 11, 2026.

We keep this short and honest, because that's the whole point of DOT Sentinel.

What we collect

  • Your email address — to send your alerts and MCS-150 reminders.
  • Your USDOT number (or company name to look it up) — to identify the carrier record we watch.
  • Public FMCSA data for that carrier — legal name, operating authority status, MCS-150 dates, insurance status — pulled from FMCSA's public records.
  • Any extra expiring documents you choose to track — a label and a date you type in (for example "General liability insurance", "2027-03-01").
  • Basic usage analytics — via Google Analytics (page views, source). Used in aggregate to improve the site.

What we never collect

We do not ask for or store your EIN, your banking or EFT details, your FMCSA Portal login, or any password — we use one-click email "magic links", not accounts. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: re-read your carrier's operating authority daily, alert you when it changes, and remind you before the MCS-150 deadline. We do not sell or rent your data, and we don't share it except with the processors below.

Processors we use

  • Cloudflare — hosting and the database.
  • Resend — sending your emails.
  • Stripe — payments.
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics (sets cookies).

Retention & your choices

We keep your data while your subscription is active, and delete it on request. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email, or cancel at any time. To access, correct, or delete your data, email contact@dapdev.tech.
